Used to be very athletic, former US Army Corps of Engineers and Infantry soldier. Hurt in Iraq in 2005. Got cancer in 2006 and everything went downhill from there. Survived cancer but now seriously disabled due to medical complications. Lots of scars from surgeries to put me back together. Disabled and retired from the Army, going to school to complete another degree and then plan to continue as full time student for next several years.

Honest and able to put up with me and my stuff.
If you knew the world was going to end in 30 days, what would you do?
Try to spend as much time with my family as possible.
If you had 10 million dollars to spare, what would you do with it?
Spend half on a better house and larger piece of property - invest the rest.
How often, and from whom do you ask advice?
My father and mother, and I usually do alright on my own, but occasionally a word from my father is not wrong.

What is a recent prominent event in your life, and how has it affected you?
Retired from the Army, enrolled in school as full time student.
What is the best advice that you will give to your children?
Don't be like me, get an education.
What has produced the biggest impression (shock) on you?
Being hurt in Iraq and then cancer. Both ended my career in the Army.
The last books that you read?
Hell's Aquarium by Steve Alten, Black Cross by Greg Iles, and a few others. I read a lot.
What are your goals now?
Finish my bachelors, then go to UW for civ engineering degree.

What would you like to change in yourself?
Could lose about 40 pounds, would be nice if I did not have so many scars
What are your weaknesses?
Due to medical changes in life turning me from an athletic former infantry soldier to a near couch potato, I have gained too much weight. I tend to dwell on the physical abilities I have lost rather than focus on the fact that I am still alive. I am not the best housekeeper, I tend to be a bit of mess but I usually can find something if I need it right now.
What are your strengths ?
Honest to a fault. I prefer to hurt someone with my honesty rather than please them with lies. I am steadfast and will always aid a friend in need.

What are your favourite games?
Backgammon, checkers, occasional game of chess, before I got hurt and sick I used to enjoy raquetball, tennis, squash, and baseball.

I tend to not read poetry, but am an eccletic reader, with favorites like Stephen King, Steve Alten, Terry Brooks, Anne McCaffrey, Ron Hubbard, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Robert Howard, and Eric Lustbader.
What kinds of music do you like?
I am not as eccletic in my music but listen to anything other than Rap. Prefer classic rock, grunge, alt metal, heavy metal, post grunge, alternate, punk (both British & American), country swing, and country western.

I will eat nearly anything as long as it is not an MRE.

Alien, Terminator films, old classic westerns, John Wayne movies,

Hunt, fish, walk, four wheel drive, auto repair, camping, photography (digital & print), travel
